Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a blue vertical rectangular arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) silver border, a black stylized bulldog detailed silver. Attached above the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) silver border inscribed IDA S. BAKER in silver. Attached below the rectangle, a blue scroll inscribed BULLDOGS in silver. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 (6.35 cm) in width.


Symbolism

The bulldog is the schools mascot; symbolic of strength and fortitude. Blue and black are the school colors. (TIOH Drawing number A-10J-1144)

Description

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Azure, a laurel wreath throughout, surmounted by a torch all Argent (Silver), all within a diminished bordure of the last. Attached below the shield, a Black trip-parted scroll inscribed SUCCESS IS THE ONLY OPTION in Silver letters.


Symbolism

The enflamed torch symbolizes education, illuminating the way forward as a beacon of courage and determination. The laurel wreath represents achievement, honor and excellence. Together the two symbols embody the motto of the school.
