Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a dark blue vertical rectangular-shaped embroidered item arched convexly at the top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border; issuing from the top, a white cloud with a thick gray shadow at the bottom, emitting a yellow lightning bolt in the center, point downwards. Attached above the rectangle, a dark blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, inscribed THUNDER in white letters. Attached below the rectangle, a dark blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed NATION in white letters. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 9/16 inches (6.51) in width.


Symbolism

Gold and navy blue are the school colors. Lightning is the schools mascot, due to the severe weather in southwest Florida. Thunder Nation is the motto of the school, suggesting unity. The colors and mascot are a symbol of pride and respect, highlighting the schools mission to increase achievement in academics and encouraging students to strive for excellence.

Description

A gold color metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in diameter overall consisting of a blue disc displaying two white clouds, one issuing from upper right, emitting two gold lightning bolts, the bottom bolt to a cloud issuing from lower left, overall at lower left, a large V shaped gold lightning bolt, the bottom and the upper points of the lightning bolt overlapping a dark blue circular designation band inscribed "LEHIGH SENIOR" at the top left and "HIGH SCHOOL" at the bottom right, in gold letters.


Symbolism

Built in 1993, the community joined together to ensure the construction of the school. The colors and mascot, decided by the community, are a symbol of pride and respect, highlighting the schools mission to increase achievement in academics and encouraging students to strive for excellence. The motto of the school is Thunder Nation.
