Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a gray embroidered circular item, edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) gray inner border; a purple knights helm facing left, with a long white plume emitting from the top, the visor, details, and highlights on the helm white; all within a purple designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border inscribed "BELOIT PROUD" at the top and "PURPLE KNIGHTS" at the bottom all in white letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter. 


Symbolism

Purple and gray are the school colors. The purple knight is the schools mascot, symbolizing honor, leadership, and victory. The motto is Beloit Proud. Shortly after the Second World War the school was renamed from Beloit High School to Beloit Memorial High School In honor of all World War II veterans. The mission of the school is to prepare and empower each student to compete and achieve to one's potential in a changing global society by engaging students in challenging, diversified and relevant educational experiences.

Description

A Silver color metal and epoxied shield shaped device, 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height, blazoned as follows: Per fess embattled Purpure and Argent, a stylized knights helm Argent (Silver) facing sinister, visor Argent. Attached below the shield, a Purple scroll inscribed BELOIT MEMORIAL in Silver letters.


Symbolism
