On a blue embroidered disc edged with a  1/16 inch (.16 cm) narrow orange border displaying an orange alligator, with blue details facing right, all encircled by a blue designation band edged with a  1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, inscribed UNIVERSITY OF at top and FLORIDA at bottom all in orange letters.  The overall diameter is 3 inches (7.62cm).

Blue and orange are the universitys colors. The alligator is the schools mascot.

A gold colored metal and epoxied shield shaped device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Azure, an alligator torqued, Or head downwards to dexter. Attached below the shield, a blue tri parted scroll inscribed UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA in gold letters.
