Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a Yellow embroidered shield shaped item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border, blazoned as follows:  Or, a stylized knights helm to sinister Vert, garnished of the first.  Attached above the shield, a Yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Green border inscribed ST NORBERT in Green letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in height and 2 11/16 inches (6.83 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Green and yellow are the universitys colors. The knight is the Universitys mascot, and signifies the schools historical lineage from the Norbertine Order, which was founded during the Middles Ages.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 5 November 1980, it is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings and the ACU color conversion on 28 February 2017. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-277)

Description

A silver colored metal and epoxied shield shaped device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield shaped blazoned as follows: Vert, three bars Argent (Silver) overall, eight scepters, two in pale, two infess and four saltirewise Or.  Attached below the shield a tripartite Silver scroll inscribed ST. NORBERT on the left and COLLEGE on the right all in black letters.


Symbolism
