A blue shield shaped item with a blue arced scroll attached above the shield, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, the overall dimension 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width; on the blue shield two oak leaves with stems conjoined in chief above an acorn all yellow. On the scroll, the letters LWMA, 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 8 March 1974, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings and to add the ACU color conversions on 20 June 2017. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-1169)
