Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, blazoned as follows: Per bend sinisterwise Argent (Silver Gray) and Gules, upon a horse in gallop to sinister a knight holding in dexter hand a lance fesswise Sable, detailed and fimbriated of the first. Attached to the sides and below the shield a Gold scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed GENESEE CAREER INSTITUTE in black. The overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in width.
        



Symbolism

The black knight is the mascot of the school and alludes to a code of chivalry, honor, integrity, and duty. Scarlet and white of the shield denote the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Description

On a shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per bend sinister Argent (Silver Gray) and Gules, a knights helm face to dexter Sable detailed Or. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed with FACTIS NON VERBIS in Gold.


Symbolism

The black knight is the mascot of the school and represents a code of chivalry, honor, integrity, and duty. The black and gold colors allude to the United States Army, while the scarlet and gray of the shield denote the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
