On an orange rectangular-shaped embroidered item arched convexly at the top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, an orange background bearing a blue wall tore from the inside, the interior gray, with a blue stylized demi-panther advancing forward, its right arm extending over the teared wall; eyes, pupils, teeth, and claws white; iris orange; nose, details, and outline black. Attached above the rectangle, an orange scroll edged with a 1/8 inch blue border inscribed PANTHERS in blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Blue and orange are the school colors. The schools mascot, the panther, was adopted by the class of 1949, reportedly because of a nearby Native American effigy mound in the shape of a panther.  This fierce wildcat is a symbol of courage, leadership, and strength. Its extending paw with bared claws further suggests the panthers ferocity.

A Silver color metal and epoxied shield shaped device, 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height, blazoned as follows: Quarterly Azure and Tenn, a sun in splendor of the second, emitting rays Argent (Silver), throughout, above the shield a stylized panther passant of the third, head facing forward, tail and left arm extending over first and second quarter.  Attached below the shield, two blue stacked scrolls, doubled orange, the top scroll inscribed with WASHINGTON and the bottom scroll inscribed with PARK H.S., all in silver.
