On a black vertical rectangular-shaped embroidered item arched convexly at the top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a yellow diagonal bar extending from the top left corner to the bottom right, surmounted by a stylized black panther ascending upwards in a crouched position. Attached above the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed PANTHER with black letters. Attached below the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border inscribed BATTALION in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

The school colors are black and gold; black symbolizing courage and respect, and gold depicting honor and victory. The panther is the schools mascot, signifying pride, leadership, and a ferocity for success. The motto Failure is Not an Option alludes to the schools pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.

A silver color metal and epoxied shield shaped device, 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height, blazoned as follows: Per fesse Sable and Azure, in chief a stylized panther passant Argent (Silver) throughout; in base a stylized atom of the third, nucleus Argent; a chief per pale Gules and Or, on a pale of the first, between an annulet of stylized figures holding hands surmounted by a sphere gridlined with axis bend sinisterwise and a microscope, a mullet, all of the third. Attached below the shield a black scroll inscribed RAUL YZAGUIRRE T-STEM & ECHS in silver.

The school colors are black and gold; black symbolizing courage and respect, and gold depicting honor and victory. The panther is the schools mascot, signifying pride, leadership, and a ferocity for success. The globe, microscope, and atom suggest the STEM program, which focuses on a study of advanced science and mathematics-related subjects. The star is a symbol of school achievement, and it pays homage to the schools location in the Lone Star State Texas. The motto Failure is Not an Option alludes to the schools pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
