Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a disc embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow border, three diagonal stripes, white between black and red, from top left to bottom right, inscribed in the center following the white diagonal stripe HH in black. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.


Symbolism

The school colors are red, black, and gold. Red signifies passion for knowledge and athletics, black alludes to confidence and strength and gold suggests achievement and success. The design shares a similar appearance for all shoulder sleeve insignias that fall under the Dallas Independent School District to unite the spirit of academic excellence, while also allowing for a distinguishing characteristic for each school.

Shoulder Loop Insignia

Description

On a shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per bend Gules and Argent, issuant from chief a stylized demi-panther head affronte Sable, throughout, detailed Or. Attached at the bottom of the shield, a Red scroll inscribed PANTHER BATTALION in Gold.


Symbolism

The school colors are red, black and gold. The panther is the schools mascot, signifying courage, leadership and strength. This symbol of school pride further alludes to the ferocity students have to learn and excel in both academic and athletic courses.
