Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a white disc, edged with a blue narrow border, a red equilateral triangle, pointed down edged blue, bearing the bust of a Spartan warrior facing right, face and armor white, blue helmet, red plume, all detailed blue, all encircled by a white designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, with the inscription MOBERLY HIGH SCHOOL at top and SPARTANS at bottom all in red. The overall diameter is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm).


Symbolism

The colors and Spartan warrior represent Moberly High School. Blue symbolizes youth and red represents strength of character. The triangle is the strongest shape and symbolizes the strength of the Spartan Battalion and underscores the motto Spartan Strong.

Description
On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Chequy Gules and Argent, on a pale Azure a Spartans sword point up Or. Attached to the base of the shield a Silver bi- partite scroll, inscribed SPARTAN STRONG in Blue letters

Symbolism

Red, white and blue are the school colors. The silver shield and checkered pattern allude to the swift thinking of Spartan Battalion cadets. The sword is a symbol of military readiness and is colored gold for excellence in operations. The motto Spartan Strong is inscribed upon a silver scroll to underscore the strength of the Spartan Battalion.
