Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a blue circular item, the overall diameter 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) a white laurel wreath throughout surmounted by a demi Warrior faced forward, arms crossed hands and face, helmet and armored silver gray.  Encircled by a silver gray designation band inscribed SAXONS at base and NORTH HIGH at top, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border.


Symbolism

Blue and white are the school color.  The Saxon is the schools mascot.  The disc shape is reminiscent of the Saxon shield.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 24 March 2005, it is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings and to add the ACU color conversions on 30 January 2018. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-708)

Shoulder Loop Insignia

Description

A silver color metal epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width consisting of a disc divided into four blue and white segments with silver center, surmounting a stylized sword.  Attached around the disc a blue scroll inscribed NORTH HIGH above and SAXON below in silver.


Symbolism

Blue and white are the school colors.  The stylized sword, combine with the circular shield used by sixth century Saxon warriors, which alludes to the mascot.
