On a white disc edged, a stylized Samoan warrior helmet with maroon details in the style of Polynesian tattoos; all within a circular maroon designation band, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border, with the inscription TAFUNA HIGH SCHOOL and below in the designation band, HIGH SCHOOL, in white. The overall dimension is 3 1/4 inches (8.29 cm).

The Polynesian warrior helmet is the schools mascot. The helmet contains traditional Samoan tattoo patterns combined with the logo for the school. The warrior helmet symbolizes strength, intelligence and awareness, characterizing the student body of Tafuna High School, which has the highest enrollment in the Territory.

On a silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Sanguine, six spearheads in pale, flanked by two spears all erect, Argent (Silver). Attached below the shield, a silver scroll inscribed STRIVE FOR THE BEST in maroon.

Marron and white are the school colors. The stack of spearheads in the Polynesian tattoo style flanked by two spears all pointing upwards to symbolize the school motto, Strive for the Best.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 6 September 2018.
