The JROTC program of Auburn Mountainview High School serves as a host for two additional schools, Auburn Riverside High School and Auburn High School. Consequently, the shield has been divided into three equal parts as a representation of each school. The three imagesthe paw print, wing, and swordare indicative of the mascot for each of the schools, Mountainview, Riverside and Auburn respectively. The colors orange, black, and green are emblematic of each of the schools colors. Orange for Mountainview High School, black for Riverside High School, and green for Auburn High School. Blue represents a fourth school, West Auburn High School, which occasionally has a student or two participating in the joint JROTC program.
