Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

A shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width overall blazoned as follows: Per pale Gules and Argent (Silver Gray), on a chief Vert, edge Or, a plate surmounted with a compass rose Argent detailed the fourth, bearing a plate charged with an arrow bend sinisterwise of the fourth, point to sinister chief; attached below the shield, a White scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed LEE in red letters.


Symbolism

The upper portion of the insignia represents the school district. The bottom is divided in half to illustrate Legacy of Educational Excellences school colors, red and gray. Red is associated with courage and determination while gray represents the military virtues of the cadets as they strive for academic excellence and professional development.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 24 June 1969.  It is hereby cancelled due to the school name change on 11 January 2019.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-1094)

Description

On a shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per pale Gules and Argent (Silver Gray), on a chief Vert, a plate surmounted with a compass rose Or, bearing a plate, charged with an arrow bend sinisterwise of the fourth, point to sinister chief.  Attached below the shield, a Gold scroll with the inscription LEE in Red letters.
