Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Blazon

A shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Scarlet border, blazoned as follows: Argent, a stylized wildcat’s head couped Gules, detailed Sable and eyed of the first. Attached above the shield is a White scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Red border, inscribed “WILDCATS” in Red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67cm) in width.


Symbolism

Red and white are the School colors. Red symbolizes courage and white represents youth. The wildcat is the school’s mascot and is portrayed here with a calm and wise expression, demonstrating maturity and insightfulness.

A silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per bend Argent (Silver Gray) and Gules in sinister chief a silhouette of a stalking wildcat bendwise Sable and in dexter base a mullet Argent. Attached below the shield, a black scroll inscribed “WHATEVER IT TAKES” in silver letters.


Symbolism

Red and white are Lake Highlands High School’s colors. Red symbolizes courage and white represents youth. The white star signifies the location of the school, The Lone Star state of Texas. The wildcat is the school’s mascot and is displayed climbing a hill and overcoming obstacles, underscoring the motto “Whatever It Takes.”
