Description

On a maroon circular shaped embroidered item the silver gray head of a snarling cougar, facing to the right, detailed black, white eye and teeth.  throughout, all encircled by a white designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border inscribed “WESTON RANCH” arching at top and “COUGARS” arching in base in maroon letters. The overall dimension is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm).


Symbolism

Maroon and silver gray are the school colors. Silver symbolizes modern technology and maroon represents strength of character. The cougar is the Weston Ranch High School mascot and reflects the cadet’s fierce dedication to school, community, and country. The Shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 23 March 2018.

Blazon

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Sanguine, on a bend Argent a stylized cougar crouched affrontée, his dexter paw outstretched to base Gules, in sinister chief the lamp of knowledge Argent (Silver) enflamed of the third. Attached at the bottom and on either side of the shield a bipartite Black scroll inscribed to the left “COUGAR” and to the right “PRIDE,” in Silver.
