Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Blazon

On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) black  border, blazoned as follows: Celeste, a stylized tiger’s head erased, to sinister Argent, detailed Sable, eyed, langued, and nosed of the first.  Attached above the rectangle, a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) black border inscribed “HOHENFELS” in black. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 7/8 inches (7.30 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Blue and white are the school colors. The tiger is the school’s mascot, symbolizing tenacity and determination.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 9 April 2018.

Blazon

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Fusilly Argent and Celeste; overall a chief dancetty Sable. Attached below the shield, a black scroll inscribed “HOHENFELS TIGERS” in silver.


Symbolism

Blue and white are the school colors. The colors arranged in a diamond pattern alludes to the arms of Bavaria, paying tribute to the state in which the school is located. The black dancetty chief resembles the night sky behind the Bavarian Alps.
