Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a white disc, edged with a black narrow border, a tiger’s face affronté Proper, all encircled by a white designation band edged with an 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, with the inscription “WAYNESVILLE HS” at top and “CAREER CENTER” at bottom all in orange letters. The overall diameter is 31/2 inches (8.89 cm).


Symbolism

Black, orange and white are the school colors. Orange symbolizes enthusiasm and black is the color of determination, a virtue the cadets possess to accomplish their personal and academic endeavors. The white band is emblematic of honor and excellence. The tiger is the school’s mascot, which signifies strength and courage.

Blazon

On a shield shaped Silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per fess Tenné and Sable a fess Argent, overall a tiger’s head Argent (Silver) detailed of the second and eyed of the third. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed “WAYNESVILLE TIGERS” in Silver letters.
