Blazon

On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, blazoned as follows: Argent, a stylized falcon volant to sinister Azure detailed Gules, eyed of the first. Attached above the item a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border inscribed “FALCONS” in blue. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Red, white and blue are the school colors, representing the Falcon battalion’s patriotism. The falcon is the school’s mascot, which symbolizes strength and victory associated with each cadet’s pursuit of academic excellence.

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per chevron Azure and Argent (Silver) in chief between a pallet, an open book superimposed with a skeleton key bendwise and a rocket bend sinisterwise encircled by the atomic symbol, all of the second, in base a stylized falcon volant to sinister Gules. Attached below the shield, a black scroll inscribed “FALCONS” in Silver.


Symbolism

The open book with the key of knowledge represents the pursuit of educational excellence associated with Clear Lake High School. The rocket with atomic symbol emphasizes math and sciences classes that are part of the cadet’s curriculum. The mascot of the school is the falcon, symbolizing strength and victory. The school colors are red, white, and blue and represent the Falcon battalion’s patriotism, with the scroll color black symbolizing determination.
