Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a white embroidered disc, issuing from base a stylized bust of Patriot soldier facing to the right in a ¾ profile, its face buff, with dark blue hair and facial details, wearing a white shirt and a dark blue coat garnished red, upon its head a dark blue hat with white trim and bearing a white star; all within circular dark blue designation band edged along the outside with a 1/8 inch (0.32cm) red border, inscribed “LIBERTY MAGNET” above and “HIGH SCHOOL” below in white letters. Overall diameter is 3-1/4 inches (8.25cm).


Symbolism

Red, white, and blue are the school colors. The patriot is the school’s mascot, symbolizing determination, independence, and innovation.

Blazon

On a silver metal and epoxied shield-shaped device 1-1/4 inches (3.18cm) in height blazoned as follows: Gules, three bars Argent, overall and issuant from base a demi-torch enflamed Argent (Silver). Attached below the shield, a blue dovetailed scroll doubled silver inscribed “A SCHOOL LIKE NO OTHER” in silver letters.


Symbolism

Red, white, and blue are the school colors. The torch, adapted from the torch of the Statute of Liberty, alludes to the school’s name as well as signifying the encourage enlightenment within the cadets. The motto highlights the trailblazing mindset instilled in students.
