Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a disc shaped embroidered item, divided quarterly white and blue at top counterchanged below, a diamond image with the sides in stairstep patterns, divided quarterly blue and white at top, counterchanged below, bearing a silver gray stylized bobcat paw print; all within a silver gray circular designation band, edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) blue border, bearing the inscription “SOUTH SAN ANTONIO” at the top and “BOBCATS” at the bottom in blue letters. Overall diameter is 3 inches (7.62 cm).


Symbolism

The school colors are blue and white, while silver symbolizes truth, honor, and respect. The diamond image with stairstep patterns, suggests a strong and unified team, working cohesively to achieve success. The raised paw print belongs to the bobcat, referring to the school’s saying “The Paws Up.” The school motto “One Team, One Fight” encourages and empowers students to foster mutual respect in their rigorous and safe learning environment.

Blazon

On a silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1-1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Per pale Argent and Azure, a bobcat’s head in 3/4 position Argent (Silver) detailed Gris; on a chief per pale of the second and of the first, a mullet of the third. Attached below the shield, a silver bi- parted scroll inscribed on the left “ONE TEAM” and on the right “ONE FIGHT” in blue letters.


Symbolism

The school colors are blue and white. The bobcat is the school mascot, a symbol of pride and respect. The star alludes to the Lone Star state, and it further denotes academic achievement and a successful future. The school motto “One Team, One Fight” encourages and empowers students to foster mutual respect in their rigorous and safe learning environment.
