Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a trapezoidal-shaped embroidered item arched outwardly at the top, edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32cm) black border, with the background divided vertically through the center, white to the left and red, a galloping gray mustang in 3/4 position, detailed and edged black. Attached above the item a red scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border and inscribed “MUSTANGS” in white letters. Overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height, by 2-1/4 inches (5.72cm) width at top and 1-3/4 inches (4.45cm) in width at base.

 


Symbolism

Red, black and white are the school colors. The mustang is the school’s mascot and embodies unlimited possibilities. The eye of the mustang is shaped like a lightning bolt to symbolize the powerful impact of a positive outlook on the world.

Blazon

On a silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1-1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Gyronny of eight, Argent and Gules, a horse’s head couped in three quarter view Sable, detailed Argent (Silver), eyed of the second; all within a diminished bordure of the third. Surmounted above the shield a demi torch flame of the fourth. On either sides of the shield, a wing elevated Argent (Silver). Attached below the shield, a silver scroll inscribed “MANOR H.S. MUSTANGS” in black letters.


Symbolism

 Red, black and white are the school colors.  The red and white patterned background represents the developmental progressions in meeting curricular goals. The horse (mustang) is the school’s mascot, which embodies unlimited possibilities. The eye of the mustang is shaped like a lightning bolt to symbolize the powerful impact of a positive outlook on the world. The torch flame and wings denotes excellence in learning and success after graduation.
