Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Blazon

On a shield shaped embroidered item, 3-1/2” (8.89 cm) in height and edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32cm) yellow border, blazoned as follows: Purpure, two chevrons inverted Argent, a bulldog’s head wearing a spiked collar Or, eyed and armed of the second, detailed and fimbriated of the first, in chief mullet of the last. Attached above the shield a purple scroll arched convexly at top, edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32cm) yellow border, inscribed “BULLDOGS” in yellow letters.  

 


Symbolism

Purple and gold are the colors of Queen Creek High School. Purple represents ambition; gold indicates “EXCELLENCE THROUGH RIGOR”, the battalion’s motto. The white star symbolizes the valuable leadership skills gained by participating in the Army JROTC program. The two reversed chevrons denote team building and overcoming challenges as a battalion. The bulldog is the school’s mascot, symbolizing the determination of the Bulldog Battalion.

Blazon

On a gold metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1-1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width blazoned as follows: Or, upon a base beviled Purpure a wavy palewise in perspective of the first, below a stylized mountain range of the second, detailed of the first; a chief Gyronny of thirteen Gules and Or, superimposed at center and throughout, a bulldog’s head, wearing a spike collar, of the last. Attached to the sides of the shield a purple scroll inscribed “EXCELLENCE THROUGH RIGOR” in gold letters. 


Symbolism

Purple and gold are the colors of Queen Creek High School. Purple represents ambition; gold indicates “EXCELLENCE THROUGH RIGOR”, the battalion’s motto. The base with the wavy and mountain range alludes to the location of the school and celebrates the many recreational opportunities the Queen Creek Canyon provides. The thirteen rays adapted from the state flag of Arizona, embodies the natural beauty of the area. The bulldog is the school’s mascot, symbolizing the determination of the Bulldog Battalion.
