Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a silver-gray disc shaped embroidered item a stylized white eagle’s head facing to the right with red details and outlined, its beak silver gray; all within a white circular designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) red border, bearing a silver-gray star on each side between the arched inscriptions “NIXA HIGH SCHOOL” above and “EAGLES” below in red letters and.  Overall diameter is 3-1/2 inches (8.89cm).


Symbolism

The Nixa eagle is the only authorized eagle for use in the school’s athletic activities.  Red, gray, and white are the school’s colors.  The stars signify the two thoroughfares that meet in Nixa, creating the city center and contributing to the name "Nixa” as the crossroads of the area.  


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 16 February 2023.
