Description/Blazon
On a white disc with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, a blue horse's head in profile, highlighted light blue; between the inscription "BUENA HIGH SCHOOL" above and "FIGHTING COLTS" below in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school's colors. The horse is the school mascot and symbolizes military, mobility, and readiness.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 22 July 1985.

Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a silver stylized shield bearing two blue tomahawks pilewise, overall issuing from base a blue torch enflamed red below a blue Indian headdress; attached below the shield a blue scroll inscribed "BUENA HIGH SCHOOL" in silver letters.

Symbolism
The school's colors are blue and white. The Indian headdress represents the location of the school. The flaming torch symbolizes the ongoing quest for knowledge and guidance. The tomahawks represent the military and Indian ancestry of the area.
