Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black rectangle arced at the top and bottom an orange and white tiger's face with yellow eyes and detailed black encircled in base by a yellow open wreath; attached above and below the rectangle two black scroll inscribed "GLOBE" above and "TIGERS" below in orange letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height and all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width overall.

Symbolism
The school colors are black and orange. The school's mascot is the tiger and the wreath, which symbolizes knowledge and education. The inscription "GLOBE TIGERS" is the school's nickname.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 28 December 1984.

Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenn, a sword palewise Or, overall a globe Azure. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "GLOBE HIGH SCHOOL" in Gold letters.

Symbolism
Orange and black are the school colors. The globe alludes to the school name and symbolizes a continuing outreach for the higher educational goals. The sword symbolizes the military ideals of the unit.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 3 July 1985.
