An embroidered device consisting of a white oval enclosed in a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black edge displaying a hornet in black and orange with gray wings, legs, stinger and mouth, white highlight in eye and black details. Enclosing that is an orange oval designation band inscribed "HARRISBURG" below the hornet in black block letters. The entire device is edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. Overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.
Orange and black are the school colors. The hornet is the school mascot and symbolizes courage, swiftness, perseverance, and vigilance.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 19 September 2007.
