Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue shield with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, a yellow demi-torch issuing from base bearing a white warrior figure detailed blue clothed in a red loin cloth, gold head and wrist bands grasping in his left upraised arm a white sword. Attached above the shield a red scroll with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed "GANESHA" in white letters.

Symbolism
Red, white, and blue are the school colors. Yellow stands for excellence. The torch of knowledge reflects the cadets' academic training. The warrior figure personifies the school mascot, a giant, and typifies the cadets' commitment to school, community and country.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 2 June 1997.

Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inch (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a vertical rectangle divided diagonally from upper left to lower right silver over blue bearing a golden warrior figure grasping a silver sword bendwise in an upraised hand; all within a red scroll inscribed "GANESHA" at top and "GIANTS" at bottom in silver letters.
