Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow shield shape 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width, edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black border and a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white outer border, a Sentinel, white with black details standing in front of a black silhouette of a cannon. The inscription above the Sentinel's head is "MAGNOLIA" in black letters.

Symbolism
Gold and black are the school colors. The Sentinel with the cannon is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 10 May 2002.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Or, a silhouette of a Sentinel (Minuteman), Sable. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "SENTINELS" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Gold and black are the school colors. The Sentinel represents wisdom, strength and protection.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 10 May 2002.
