Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered device consisting of a blue rectangle arched convexly at the top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border displaying the head of the growling Black Panther with red tongue and gums and detailed in gray. Attached above the panther, a gray scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "WEST ADAMS" in black letters. Attached below the panther a gray scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in black letters. The dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The school colors are blue, black and gray. The school's mascot is a panther and symbolizes fierceness, great strength, swiftness and power.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Barry wavy of seven Argent (Silver Gray) and Celeste, on a pale Sable a lamp of knowledge, between in chief a winged foot and in base a lyre all of the first. Attached above the shield a panther stalking of the third. Attached below a black scroll inscribed "PANTHERS" in Silver letters.
