Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A shield-shaped device with arced scroll attached above the shield, overall dimensions 3 3/4 inches (9.53 cm) in height and 3 1/8 inches (7.94 cm) in width, consisting of a white background on which is a yellow eagle's head erased, outlined and detailed brown, within a yellow band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border. Attached above the shield a yellow arched scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border and inscribed "EAST" in white letters 7/16 inch (1.11 cm) in height.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 17 August 1971.
