Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow disk surrounded by a purple designation band all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, having a diameter measurement of 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm), a Viking's head helmeted purple with white wings extending to top over the designation band. The helmet has a yellow brow guard with purple rivets. The Viking is white with brown hair and mustache. His hair has a purple bead hanging in center base. Arching to top on the designation band the inscription "VIKINGS" in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height and to base the inscription "WESTHILL HIGH SCHOOL" in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm).

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school's colors. The Viking is the school's mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 6 April 2005.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold colored metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a purple Viking's helmet eyed and detailed gold, horns white. Below the helmet a purple scroll inscribed "WESTHILL HIGH SCHOOL" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school's colors. The Viking is the school's mascot, and legend and history indicates the Viking's once landed in the bay near the school.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 6 April 2005.
