Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, the white bust of a Patriot vested blue with yellow buttons and hat blue with white piping between the inscription "AMERICAN" arcing above and "HIGH SCHOOL" arcing below in red letters.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school colors. The patriot is the school mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 29 November 1995.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Gules and Argent, a pile reversed Azure charged in base with a mullet of the like, interlaced and void of the second between in dexter a torch enflamed bendwise sinister Silver and in sinister a scroll bendwise of the like. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll inscribed "AMERICAN PATRIOTS" in Red letters.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school colors. The torch represents leadership. The scroll symbolizes education. The star suggests patriotism and denotes that the school was established in the bicentennial year of the country.
