Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a green embroidered shield shape 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in width, edged with a 1/16 inch (0.16 cm) white border and a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) black outer border, the silhouette of a torch and crossed saber and rifle in yellow; overall an eagle's head Proper. Below the shield, a green scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border with the inscription "ATLANTIC" in white letters.

Symbolism
Green and white are the school's colors. The eagle is the school mascot and represents leadership, diligence, noble nature and deeds.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized on 14 December 2005.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in diameter overall consisting of a white disc, a green eagle stooping, silver gray beak, tail feathers and talons, all within two silver gray chain links arched outwardly, on the left and right sides of the disc.  Attached above the disc a green arched scroll inscribed "ACHS" in silver letters.  Attached below the disc a green arched scroll inscribed "EAGLE BATTALION" in silver letters.

Symbolism
Green and white (silver) are the school colors.  The five white piles signify Leadership, Citizenship, Challenge, Responsibility, and Knowledge.  The eagle is the school's mascot and reflects the strength and spirit required of the cadets to soar in academic and athletic endeavors.  The palm trees are taken from the Palm Beach County Seal and symbolize the location of the school in Florida.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 2 March 2011.
