Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, divided diagonally embattled from upper left to lower right orange over blue a white yellow jacket flexed wings elevated and transparent outlined and detailed white between the inscription "BARTOW" arcing above and "HIGH SCHOOL" arcing below in white letters all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Orange, white and blue are the school colors. The "yellow jacket" is the school mascot. The embattled division reflects the school's heritage and symbolizes the cadets' willingness to defend their school, community and country.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 23 September 1996.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenn a chevron embattled to chief Azure fimbriated Argent between three yellow jackets of the last. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll inscribed "POSSIM SI VELIM" in Blue letters.

Symbolism
Orange, white (silver) and blue are the school colors. The yellow jacket is the school mascot. The three yellow jackets signify the heritage of two previous schools, from which Bartow is descendant. The embattled chevron symbolizes the cadets' support and loyalty to their school, community and country. The school motto "POSSIM SI VELIM" translates to "I May If I Will."
