Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered black vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border, the head of a pirate wearing a maroon hat and facing d the observer. The pirate's face, teeth, collar, earrings, skull and cross bones are white. The moustache, hair, eye patch, eyebrow and facial details are black. The outline, shadow on teeth and eye are silver gray. Attached above the rectangle, a maroon scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border inscribed "BRADEN" in gray letters. Attached below the rectangle, a maroon scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border inscribed "RIVER" in gray letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Black, maroon, and silver are the school's colors. The Pirate is the school's mascot, and symbolizes a readiness for battle, fearlessness, courage, perseverance, bravery, and cleverness.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly Sanguine; in the first quarter the outline of the State of Florida, in the second a lyre, in the third a winged foot, and in the fourth a lamp flamant all Argent (Silver Gray). Above the shield, a Pirate's head in profile facing dexter wearing a Black hat with Silver plume, skull, cross bones, face and beard. Below the shield, is a Black tripartite scroll inscribed "LEADERSHIP" KNOWLEDGE" "INTEGRITY" in base metal letters.
