Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield-shaped embroidered device 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width, blazoned edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border blazoned: Azure, a Talbot (Husky) caboshed, Argent, detailed of the last (Silver Gray) and Sable, eyed of the first and White. Attached above the shield, a Silver Gray arced scroll inscribed "HAGERTY" in Black letters.

Symbolism
Blue, black and silver are the school colors. The Husky is the school mascot. The Husky is known for its intelligence, loyalty, courage, work ethic, teamwork and fierce competitiveness and represents qualities essential to the school and the students.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 25 May 2006.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly, Azure and Sable, in the first quarter an atomic symbol Argent (Silver Gray), in the second quarter a lyre and a mask bendwise, per pale of the second and third, in the third quarter a winged foot and in the fourth quarter a torch flamant all of the third. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "HUSKY" detailed and doubled in Silver Gray.

Symbolism
Black, blue and silver are the school's colors.  Black is indicative of each cadet's determination to succeed in all endeavors. Blue refers to loyalty and truth which are the attributes the cadets strive to demonstrate in academics, athletics and in the community. Silver represents the courage to act responsibly and possess uncompromising integrity. The school's mascot is the Husky, a dog breed known for its teamwork, energy, intelligence and resilience especially in difficult conditions. The atomic symbol alludes to the nucleus for education. The lyre and mask are symbolic of music, art and drama. The winged shoe pertains to athletics and sportsmanship. The torch indicates knowledge and wisdom and the honor to "pass the torch" to future cadets.
