Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black vertical rectangle arched at top and bottom 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border displaying a Trojan warrior's head in profile wearing an orange helmet bearing white feathers detailed black. Arched above the warrior, the inscription "LELY" in white letters on a black scroll 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) in height. Arched below the warrior, the inscription "HIGH SCHOOL" in white letters on a black scroll 1/2 inches (1.27 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Orange and black are the school's colors. The Trojan warrior is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 8 May 2001.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Tenn a Trojan warrior affronty in armor Argent grasping a sword in his dexter hand. In sinister a demi-shield of the like thereon a serpent. Attached in base a Silver scroll turned Sable and inscribed "LELY HIGH SCHOOL" in Black letters.

Symbolism
Orange, white and black are the school's colors. The Trojan is the school's mascot and represents wisdom, strength, protection and invulnerability.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 8 May 2001.
