Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered silver gray vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) garnet border, a white bulldog face detailed black with a garnet tongue, wearing a garnet collar with white spikes fimbriated black. Attached above, a golden yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) garnet border inscribed "LIBERTY" in garnet letters. Attached below, a golden yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) garnet border inscribed "BULLDOGS" in garnet letters. The device is 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 5/16 inches (5.87 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Garnet and gold are the school colors. The bulldog is the school mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 4 October 2007.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel diamond shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a garnet compass rose. Attached around the device, a garnet scroll inscribed "LOYALTY" "COURAGE" "HONOR" "STRENGTH" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Garnet and gold are the school colors. The compass symbolizes direction which is provided by the school through mentoring young people to become better people and citizens. The words, Loyalty, Courage, Honor, and Strength are from the school alma mater and represent the school's initials of LCHS.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 4 October 2007.
