Description/Blazon
On a blue disc with five yellow wavy horizontal lines surrounded by a yellow circular designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border and inscribed "MIAMI SENIOR HIGH" at top and "STINGAREE" at bottom in blue letters; the dorsal view of a blue stingray detailed gray. The overall dimension is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Blue and gold are the school colors. The stingray is the mascot, symbolizing strength. The heraldic fountain (wavy lines) represents Biscayne Bay, the stingray's habitat and the location of Miami.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 13 November 1996.
