Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a green horizontal oval 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in height edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border, a gray Conestoga wagon between the inscription "NORTH MIAMI" arcing above and "HIGH SCHOOL" arcing below in gray letters.

Symbolism
Green and gray are the school colors. Pioneers are the school's mascot. The Conestoga wagon symbolizes the cadets' pioneer spirit in meeting with the challenges of the future and embracing the needs of the school, community and country.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 4 February 2000.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Vert, a Conestoga wagon enhanced overall a male and female pioneer figure in trian aspect, the male figure grasping a walking cane in dexter hand, palewise to base, Argent (Silver). Attached below the shield a Green scroll turned Silver inscribed "PIONEERS" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Green and gray are the school colors. The "Pioneers" are the school's mascot and reflects the lessons of the past and challenging future for the cadets.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 4 February 2000.
