Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a rectangular shaped embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom blazoned as follows: "Argent, an Indian Warrior's head reversed and couped at the shoulders Or, detailed and shadowed Purpure, adorned with feathers Proper." Attached above the rectangle, a Silver scroll inscribed "LUMPKIN COUNTY" in Purple letters. Attached below the rectangle, a Silver scroll inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in Purple letters, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Purple border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school colors. The Indian is the school's mascot. The Indian Warrior represents the Cherokee and Creek Indian tribes that originally inhabited the area of Northern Georgia.

Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: "Purpure, in dexter chief a sunburst surmounted by a tomahawk bendwise sinister head downward and a sword bendwise point upwards; in sinister chief a torch enflamed bendwise; in base a stylized lamp enflamed all Or." Crest: "The head of an Indian Warrior Or." Attached below the shield, a Purple scroll inscribed "CURAHEE" in Gold letters.
