Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width overall, two red devil heads respectant, each grasping a red vertical trident between them, all below the inscription "RED DEVILS" in red letters.

Symbolism
Black and red are the school colors. The red devil is the school mascot. The two faces suggest the two county schools that combine to make Randolph-Clay. The devils grasp one trident signifying unity of the two student bodies and also reflecting teamwork, an important part of leadership training in the ROTC program.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 4 November 1994.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of two red devil heads endorsed and surmounting a pyramid of blue water and gold flames on a black background, between and above a gold scroll inscribed "RANDOLPH-CLAY" in red letters.

Symbolism
Black and red are the school colors. The red devil is the school mascot. The devils' heads rising from water suggests the union of a new student body from two previous schools whose mascots were Vikings and Lakers.

The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 4 November 1994.
