Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black embroidered disc with a smaller inner yellow disc, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, the head of a Wildcat detailed black between encircling inscriptions "RICHMOND HILL" above and "WILDCATS" below in yellow letters. The overall dimension is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Black and gold are the school's colors. The Wildcat is the school's mascot. The Wildcat was chosen as the school mascot because it is a powerful, aggressive, intelligent, and cunning animal. The students readily identify and have pride in their mascot in their daily quest to obtain academic and athletic excellence.

Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: "Per pall reversed Sable, a Wildcat paw print encircled by a wreath, a scroll Or, surmounted by a graduation cap of the first, a shrimp boat; the shield between live Oak leaves and fructed, and Cherokee Rose sprig with blossoms of the second." Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed "WILDCATS" in Gold letters. Crest: The head of a Wildcat Or.

Symbolism
Black and gold are the school colors. The Wildcat is the school's mascot and is placed above everything else to represent the school's spirit and morals equal and yet still strive for the academic and athletic symbols. The wreath and paw print represent athletics. The cap and scroll represent scholastic curriculum. The shrimp boat represents the local industry. The live Oak and the Cherokee Rose represent the State of Georgia's state tree and flower respectively.
