Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a white rectangular shaped embroidered device convex at top and bottom, the overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, charged with an Indian Chief, face to front proper, hair black beaded and banded yellow, feathered white garnished blue. Attached above, a white scroll inscribed "WHITE COUNTY" in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a white scroll inscribed "WARRIORS" in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Navy blue, white, and gold are the school colors. The Warrior is the school mascot and symbolizes the Cherokee Indians that lived in the area prior to settlement in the 19th Century.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 26 June 2007.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend sinister Azure, a bend sinister Or between in dexter an Indian Chief Gold and in sinister a scroll and quill pen of the last. To the left and right of the shield, two spears palewise points up Yellow fimbriated Gold. Attached above, a Blue scroll inscribed "WARRIORS" in Gold letters. Attached below, a Blue scroll inscribed "WHITE COUNTY" in Gold letters.

Symbolism

Background
The shoulder loop insignia approved 26 June 2007 was amended 10 July 2007 to correct the symbolism.
