Attached above the shield, a black scroll inscribed "AUBURN" in white letters. All within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Red and black are the school's colors. The school mascot is a mounted knight, reflecting the school nickname "Auburn Knights". The knight symbolizes the cadets' dedication to duty and loyalty as citizens.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 5 April 1993.
