Description/Blazon
On a yellow disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) purple border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm), a white quill surmounted by a white sword, forming a saltire, all fimbriated purple above in base an arced inscription "BOWEN" in purple letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 26 September 1972.
