Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A circular gray insignia edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm), on which is centered the head of a gray cougar couped at the neck and detailed maroon between two arced inscriptions "BULLITT CENTRAL HIGH" above and "COUGARS" below in maroon letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 13 March 1981.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a maroon shield divided into three parts by an inverted Y partition line formed by silver chain links; in the upper portion on the viewer's left, a stylized open book surmounted by a torch enflamed; on the portion to the viewer's right, an open scroll surmounted by the winged foot of Mercury and in base a stylized lamp of knowledge enflamed, all silver. Attached below the shield a silver arced segmented scroll inscribed "BULLITT" on the segment to the viewer's left and "CENTRAL" on the segment to the viewer's right in maroon letters.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 22 April 1981.
