Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On an embroidered device consisting of a white circular shape edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) navy blue border, the overall diameter 3 inches (7.62 cm), displaying the stylized head of a Cougar in navy blue with a stylized alphabet letter "C" around the Cougar's head. Arched above the Cougar's head, the inscription "LOGAN COUNTY" in navy blue letters. Arched below the Cougar's head, the inscription "COUGARS" in navy blue letters.

Symbolism
Navy blue and white are the school's colors. The Cougar is the school's mascot.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) originally authorized on 31 March 1994 was cancelled, and a new SSI was authorized 18 October 2005, it is currently being updated to add the ACU color conversions on 20 October 2017.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-724)





Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 5/16 inches (3.33 cm) in width overall consisting of a light blue star interlacing a blue ring inscribed "FIGHTING COUGARS" to base; surmounted by a silver-colored cougar face, affront.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school's colors. The school's mascot is the Cougar.

Background

The shoulder loop insignia (SLI) originally authorized on 31 March 1994, is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 20 October 2017.
